Responsibilities

The Solutions Architect will be responsbile for the following day-to-day duties: Driving multiple customer solution design projects in parallel

conducting business and technical discovery with customers, finding novel solutions, architectures and use cases to help customers meet their objectives Providing robust recommendations for engagements while also identifying critical dependencies and gaps. Presenting proposals to senior government officials in a clear and compelling way; has a balance of business and technology acumen, including ability to articulate high- level technical solutions to business problems and to tie solutions to program success criteria. Capable of independently applying a wide set of engineering disciplines for planning, design, analysis, coding, testing, roll-out and support of information systems architectures. Assisting in the designing of interface standards, quality assurance standards, performance standards, and cost-benefit analysis of modem state-of-the art information systems Analyzing available technologies and makes recommendations of technologies to use and how best to use them. *Position is contingent upon contract award* Qualifications

Required Expertise : Minimum of 12 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 7 years with Ph.D. Current GSA Public Trust or ability to obtain GSA Public Trust 10+ years of comprehensive experience in architecting sustainable enterprise scale architectures, cloud applications and solutions, enterprise scale systems modernization, cloud-native architectures, microservices architecture and containerized applications Minimum of 10 years' experience in agile software development to include Microservices architecture using open-source technologies. 8+ years' experience in emerging technologies one or more architecture domains (e.g., business architecture, solutions architecture, application architecture, security architecture, data architecture) Minimum of 5 years' experience with designing and developing complex software systems on a virtualized cloud environment such as Amazon AWS. Minimum of 3 years' experience in DevOps and CI/CD concept using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Docker/Kubernetes, and testing tools such SonarQube, JMeter. AWS certified architect with minimum of 5 years hands on experience in developing and enhancing technical architecture using Cloud environment. Extensive experience in technical roadmap management, technical debt management, developing proof of concept based on current and emerging technologies. Establishing legacy modernization and migration roadmaps for large scale applications Advanced knowledge and experience in one or more current programming languages (E.g. Java, JavaScript (including AngularJS), Python, Rust, Go, Ruby, or PHP) Extensive experience in using major cloud platforms (AWS preferred) to build, design, architect, deploy and support enterprise scale applications Experience in building applications as composition of decoupled services and independently deployable units using service-oriented, micro service, and/or API based architectures at an enterprise scale and event-driven applications using queues, service bus and other related patterns Experience with Containerization (i.e., Docker, Rocket, etc.), how container organization works and the application architecture to take advantage of that (Kubernetes, Universal Control Plane UCP, Helm, Flux etc.) Experience in translating business requirements into technical specifications and solutions with hands-on experience in developing concepts Desired Experience : Masters' Degree preferred or bachelor's level degree with equivalent years of work experience. Minimum of 5 years' experience developing and deploying microservices in a cloud environment preferred. Experience defining and driving SecDevOps best practices, architecting and implementing CICD automation and Zero Downtime deployments Experience in working closely with technical leads, engineering teams and architecture stakeholders for technical issues and architecture framework capabilities for use by other development teams. Target Salary Range

$135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
