Job Title: Receptionist

Location: Bridgewood Health Care Center, Kansas City, Missouri

Job Summary:
Bridgewood Health Care Center is seeking a dependable and welcoming Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for residents, families, and visitors, you will play a critical role in creating a friendly and professional environment while supporting the daily operations of our facility. This position requires the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist residents, families, and visitors in a warm, professional manner.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate departments or staff.
  • Manage the front desk and reception area to ensure it is clean, organized, and inviting.
  • Provide information to visitors and callers regarding the facility, policies, and services offered.
  • Maintain visitor logs and ensure compliance with security and safety protocols.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for residents, staff, and visitors as needed.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and maintaining records.
  • Sort and distribute incoming mail, packages, and other deliveries.
  • Monitor and maintain supplies for the reception area.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and support.
  • Handle emergency situations promptly by contacting the appropriate personnel or emergency services.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in office administration is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a receptionist or front desk role, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with office equipment (e.g., printers, copiers).
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Compassionate and customer-service-oriented approach, with sensitivity to the needs of residents and families.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Working Conditions:
