Note: The pay rate for this job is $28 - $28 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
  • Hours: 5x8's, Monday-Friday, 40+ hours Operating equipment: Driving, maneuvering, and controlling heavy machinery like bulldozers, excavators, front-end loaders, and road graders
  • Maintaining equipment: Cleaning, servicing, and making minor repairs to equipment
  • Loading and unloading: Moving equipment, materials, and supplies onto and off of vehicles
  • Monitoring: Watching gauges and dials to ensure equipment is working properly
  • Reporting: Notifying supervisors of equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs
  • Performing manual labor: Digging, lifting, hauling, spraying, and other heavy manual labor
  • Preparing surfaces: Preparing surfaces for paving and spreading asphalt
  • Installing irrigation systems: Installing and maintaining irrigation systems
  • Ensuring safety: Ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations, and following basic safety precautions
Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of equipment: Understanding how to operate and maintain heavy equipment, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
  • Safety: Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, and to enforce them
  • Vehicle maintenance: Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance, such as checking oil and water levels and tire pressure
  • Machine operation: Experience and skills in operating machinery, including assessing, cleaning, calibrating, and fixing equipment
  • Troubleshooting: Ability to use diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot issues
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Prior experience in the commercial field preferred
