We are currently seeking experienced safety-conscious Equipment Operators to join the team at Sanford Recycling & TS in Sanford, FL. Previous landfill or waste experience would be a huge plus, but willing to train the right candidate.

The position is a Day Shift working Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays working 45-55 hours a week. Pay Range for this position is $18-$20+ DOE.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Maintenance around the site and facilities as needed
- Spreading and compacting trash using a Compactor
- Spreading daily cover using a Dozer
- Excavating soil using an Excavator
- Hauling soil
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
- The work environment is an outdoor landfill setting. The employee will work near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and vibrations. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Areas are clean, ventilated, and well lit.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience driving forklift, dozer, or articulated dump truck preferred
- Must demonstrate ability to learn and independently operate equipment used at facility
- Must become proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
- Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. repeatedly
