Hardware Engineering Program Manager (EPM)
Come join a dedicated team of Data Center Engineering Program Managers! As a Data Center EPM, you will be responsible for driving the planning and execution of early prototype vehicles to support critical validation focusing on silicon reliability and software development. Our team is looking for someone who can drive the board design convergence and release schedules, lead complex hardware builds down to the details, and handle the resolution of technical build blockers by working with cross-functional teams.
Description:
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of prototype builds. You will need to collaborate closely with architecture and engineering teams to define hardware definitions based on validation goals and support the overall project plan for builds globally. You will drive development timelines for new boards and flexes, lead the internal review process and release to vendors, and be the primary point of contact for our contract manufacturers and worldwide team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- 3+ years of project management or relevant experience
- Exceptional ability to build relationships, build cross-functional teams and exert effective influence in a matrix organization.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven track record in hardware engineering or operations program management with experience in effectively handling factory builds and working with vendors
- Experience interfacing with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering teams
- Excellent communication, presentation skills and the ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to handle complex build matrices and microschedules
- Proactive and highly self-motivated; good critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to operate well in an environment with rapid development cycles and constant change
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
