Position Summary:

Key member of the GFS Specialty Companies (TA) team, responsible for modeling best practice and support of key initiatives; serves as an influencer and team point of contact. Serves as the liaison and business partner for assigned business unit(s). Balances the needs of hiring managers, compliance requirements and the candidate experience. Supports execution of the talent acquisition process, including needs identification, proactively identifying talent, requisition posting and management, candidate evaluation, screening/interviewing, and offer process. Builds strong relationships with hiring managers to influence, guide and drive the talent acquisition process. Assists with the development and implementation of innovative talent acquisition programs and projects for assigned business unit(s) .

Essential Functions:

  • Consistently review and evaluate the recruiting process to ensure resources are used effectively to meet business needs and achieve positive stakeholder relationships.
  • Execute effective procurement of talent from identifying top sourcing strategies to effectively close requisitions
  • Provide input for talent acquisition system configuration and enhancements and other tools that will improve effectiveness and/or efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business support, compliance, and candidate experience and collaborate with appropriate resources to implement solutions.
  • Create an environment of shared accountability and partnership with hiring managers.
  • Counsel hiring managers on market conditions, competitive intelligence, and positioning.
  • Educate internal customers on the recruiting and selection process through ongoing counsel and periodic training sessions to enhance staff management skills.
  • Execute effective proactive sourcing strategies using search strings (boolean searches), social media, database searches and networking.
  • Understand sourcing channels and strategies and collaborate with local and Shared Services teams to plan and execute an effective and efficient recruiting process.
  • Work collaboratively with Shared Services teams to evaluate supply and demand.
  • Contribute thought leadership to sourcing plans and alternatives at both the national and local level.
  • Provide input to content used in social media campaigns and other sourcing channels.
  • Ensure interview guides and evaluation tools are objective, effective, and job related.
  • Balance business needs, compliance requirements and candidate experience in selection processes.
  • Utilize and analyze recruiting metrics and reporting
  • Participate on project teams as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Generate and present weekly and monthly reports on job openings, hires, and turnover to senior leadership to inform division updates.
  • Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings with team members to support coaching and development, and communicate team needs to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

  • Understanding of competency models and skilled in interviewing techniques for hiring/selection.
  • Working understanding of compliance requirements related to EEO and OFCCP standards
  • Ability to maintain knowledge of current trends and industry developments
  • Ability to present and speak in public
Equipment / Tools / Technology:
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, email, and HRIS software.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking technology/capabilities, ideally with experience in multiple platforms
  • Knowledge of social media tools used for talent acquisition.


Minimum Years of Experience:

Five or more years recruiting experience or seven or more years of progressive recruiting experience in lieu of a degree. Must have experience sourcing, interviewing, selecting candidates.
