If you’re experienced in equipment sizing, load calculations, and BIM in Revit, this role could be the perfect next step in your career. Virtual/Remote (2-3 days/week) Responsibilities: Lead a team of design engineers, overseeing project schedules, managing workloads, and ensuring high-quality deliverables. Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to integrate mechanical designs with other building systems, promoting effective teamwork and coordination. Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring all deliverables are on time, accurate, and meet client expectations. Conduct and review equipment sizing, load calculations, and energy modeling for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Interpret and apply building codes, standards, and energy efficiency requirements to your designs, ensuring regulatory compliance. Develop mechanical and plumbing systems designs, review equipment submittals, and prepare system design reviews, especially for HVAC and life safety systems. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architectural Design, or a related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress towards PE licensure. 3 years of experience in Mechanical Design Engineering, with a focus on building systems. Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) using Revit, with a strong understanding of mechanical and plumbing drawings. Solid experience with equipment sizing, load calculations, and reviewing technical documentation like cutsheets and equipment catalog data.
