HVAC or HVAC/R Technician

Technicians should be capable of reading blueprints and be able to do material take offs, Must be able to install and field fabricate any variation of duct work. Tech should be fluent in all forms of piping, i.e. Refrigeration and water piping, Hard and soft copper, Proficient in Brazing is a must. Advanced knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems to include, Split systems, Heat Pumps, CRAC units, Package units, Chillers, and boilers of all types and sizes. Understanding of electrical theory and be able to service, repair, or replace electrical components tied to HVAC systems. Understanding of air conditioning principles / systems and the relevant codes and industry standards that govern the maintenance and installation of HVAC equipment. Responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on a variety of HVAC equipment. Knowledge of Building Management Systems, Must be able to navigate and perform repairs using various types of BMS systems. At least 10 years specific trade and technical experience with installations, repairs and troubleshooting in commercial and residential HVAC systems. Responsible for performing annual start up, shut down, winterization, and any required repairs of chillers, boilers and central plants. Must have knowledge of refrigeration theory and be able to diagnose issues with any type of system that requires refrigeration. Required to have EPA universal refrigerant license.
