We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary and Qualifications Ultrasound Technologist - PRN/Per Diem At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. As part of our team, you will work alongside a dedicated group of professionals truly making a difference in the health and lives of people in West Florida. We are currently seeking a registered Ultrasound Technologist on a PRN/per diem/as-needed basis. As an Ultrasound Technologist or Sonographer, you will provide ultrasound services to patients as ordered by the physician following established standards and practices under the direction of the Radiologists. If you share our passion and vision, we invite you to apply now Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) include but are not limited to: · Follow established procedures in performing all job functions · Set priorities and carefully coordinate daily tasks to make productive use of time · Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of work practices and emergency procedures · Exercise competence in the effective and safe use of all equipment · Responsible and accountable for completion of assignments and delivery of safe, effective care · Display adequate knowledge of anatomy, physiology and disease process relating to the areas of ultrasound performed · Assure only quality examinations are submitted to Radiologist for interpretation · Exhibit good judgement in handling situations not covered by written or verbal instructions Qualifications · Vocational/Technical education: Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program · Active ARDMS certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital is a 350-bed facility offering a range of services.
