In this role, you will manage and defend complex civil litigation cases, with a focus on fire and explosion incidents, product liability, professional liability, and general liability matters. Key Responsibilities: Handle all aspects of litigation from case inception through resolution, including drafting pleadings, managing discovery, and preparing for trial. Conduct and defend depositions, including expert witnesses, as part of a comprehensive litigation strategy. Analyze and develop case strategies for various technical litigation areas, such as medical malpractice or other areas with complex factual and legal issues. Collaborate with clients, experts, and team members to ensure the highest level of defense representation. Occasionally travel for court appearances, depositions, and client meetings (approximately twice per month). Qualifications: 4-8 years of experience in civil litigation defense, with a background in fire/explosion, product liability, professional/general liability, or similar technical litigation. Experience with expert depositions, both taking and defending. Licensed to practice in Wisconsin; additional state bar admissions are highly valued.
