Environmental Health & Safety Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join a dynamic team at a cutting-edge chemical manufacturing facility in Belle, West Virginia. This unique plant is pivotal in producing raw materials for biodegradable plastics, serving diverse industries with a primary focus on oil and gas. This role offers an opportunity to lead and enhance the facility's Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive SHE policies, procedures, and programs. Oversee SHE program management, including auditing, monitoring, reporting, and record maintenance. Provide expert technical guidance and support to address SHE challenges across the organization. Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for employees and contractors on SHE topics. Conduct thorough SHE audits, inspections, and investigations, recommending corrective actions as needed. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Safety, Health, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in SHE roles within manufacturing or construction sectors; experience in chemical manufacturing is highly preferred.
