This role offers a unique opportunity to take charge of healthcare construction projects, including hospitals and behavioral health facilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of OSHPD requirements and a proven track record in managing complex projects. This is a permanent position that offers competitive compensation and benefits, along with opportunities for professional growth and advancement. Responsibilities: As a Superintendent, you will: 1. Oversee all phases of healthcare construction projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. 2. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all tasks are performed safely and in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. 3. Review and understand project drawings, specifications, and contracts to ensure successful project execution. 4. Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and problem resolution. 5. Implement and enforce site safety and risk management procedures to minimize hazards and ensure a safe work environment. 6. Manage onsite quality control, including conducting inspections and coordinating necessary corrective actions. 7. Prepare and submit project reports, and maintain comprehensive project documentation. 8. Continuously monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to schedules, staffing, and resources as needed. 9. Resolve any issues or delays that may impact project completion. Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must have: 1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare construction. 2. Extensive knowledge of healthcare construction practices, including experience with hospital and behavioral health projects. 3. A thorough understanding of OSHPD requirements and regulations. 4. Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate diverse teams. 5. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage, motivate, and direct a team. 6. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner. 7. Proficiency in construction software and technology. 8. A commitment to safety and quality, with a track record of maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. 9. A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field is preferred. 10. Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) would be an added advantage.
