Job Description: University of Pittsburgh Physicians is hiring a Full-Time Nocturnist Floater Physician Assistant or Acute Care Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to help support the Center for Community Hospital Medicine by floating between their sites. \n \nHours: 7 nights on 7 nights off - 12-hour shifts\nLocation: CCHM Hospitals\nPosition Specifics: This individual will work nights floating between the nine CCHM sites. The Hospitalist Staff APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The Hospitalist Staff APP has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician. The Hospitalist Staff APP manages and provides patient care activities for a group of patients and their families through the application of independent judgment, communication and collaboration with all team members. The role of the Hospitalist Staff APP encompasses the beginnings of leadership, partnership, collaboration and supervision. The Hospitalist Staff APP establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, other health care providers, patients and their families, to achieve desired patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. The Hospitalist Staff APP begins to demonstrate a commitment to the community and to their healthcare profession.
