Role and Responsibilities:The Social Media Intern will support the Communications Team by creating and scheduling content, engaging with followers, and tracking key metrics to enhance our brand presence in the home care industry. As an emerging influencer in this space, they'll represent our mission authentically, build a strong online community, and stay current with trends to keep content fresh and relevant. This role will ensure our social media efforts resonate and expand our audience. Essential Functions: Assist in planning and creating social media content across platforms. Engage with online communities, reposting, sharing, and responding to comments and messages. Collaborate with Communications Team on social media campaigns to help bring awareness about the benefits of home care and aid in recruitment and retention strategies. Track metrics and report on the success of campaigns to help shape future strategies. Research and implement social media trends relevant to the home care industry. Education Requirements: Degree or currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field plus 1-2 years social media experience Qualifications and Requirements: Strong understanding of social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, etc.) and trends -- posts, reels, stories, as well as social media tools such as Buffer. Excellent communication and creative writing skills -- social media writing skills. Self-starter who can work independently while collaborating effectively with the team. Creative background (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator). Enthusiastic and passionate about social media and digital marketing. Strong critical thinking, time management and organizational skills required. Proven track record of personal accountability, good work ethic, integrity and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently with MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams. Work Environment: The Social Media Intern is primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions. The working conditions are classified as light work: Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
