Prototype Build Engineer

Job Description:

  • The Prototype Build Engineer for this position will be responsible for managing all prototype build activities including developing and communicating build plans based on vehicle specifications, test plans, and program timing.
  • Leading multiple teams to assure all program deliverables are met and resolving any issues affecting build quality, engineering design, manufacturing process, and timing.
Responsibilities:
  • Leading part procurement and supplier issue resolution across multiple programs.
  • Prototype design support.
  • BOM creation.
  • Process sheet creation for build operators.
  • Resolving any build floor issues affecting quality, engineering design, manufacturing process, and timing.
Requirements:
  • Basic Vehicle build process knowledge.
  • 3-5 years of Prototype Design Support.
  • Basic knowledge of CATIA V5, and/or NX, Team Center.
  • Strong Leadership, Communication, and Program Management skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with preparing presentations and presenting to all levels of management.
Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in engineering (Mechanical or Electrical)
