As a Production Planner, you will be Responsible for:
Planning
Work daily MRP exception messages
Manage flow of material between supplier and plant
Ensure materials are available for production
Meet the targets on days of inventory
Expedite Purchase Order with supplier
Crisis shortage provide priority to the supplier
Monthly review of vendor forecast
Review Open order report with supplier
Update in SAP purchase orders due dates
Review and adjust MRP planning parameters such as safety stock, minimum lot sizes, rounding values, pallet quantities, lead times, lot sizing procedures, etc.
Quarterly review of the replenishment strategy Kanban, ROP or MRP
Interfaces with MPS Planners and Production Scheduler
Qualifications/Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business
Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), ERP / SAP, production scheduling, and inventory management
Experience working with SAP desirable
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Solid background in materials management / methodology
Adept at thinking on your feet, problem resolution, providing direction to multiple groups, resolving conflict, improving efficiencies, continuous improvement
Downstream Flow Controller
Description
Follow up to SAP Planning order exceptions (past due, expedite, push out, cancel)
Finished Good Production Scheduling
Publish Daily Production Plan
Follow up of Production orders status and barriers
Review with kitting if they are having issues with material
Review if orders are converted in SAP, if not need to start converting planned orders to production orders
Reviewing missing parts coming out in the release simulation to see if production could start working without them
Create missing parts file and request to Upstream team the estimate arrival time
Release orders and prepare them to production, separate them by assemblies
Production Schedule Attainment
Shift: Weekend shift- Thursday-Fri-Saturday, looking at 11-11.5 hours per shift. Likely 7/8am-6/7pm
Duration: 12+ month
Location: EL PASO, Texas
Work Schedule: Onsite
Pay rate: $25/hr. to $30/hr.
