Nakupuna Consulting is looking for an Environmental Engineer to support the Nakupuna Companies' Environmental Services line of business, providing technical services to ensure that all environmental service goals are attained. Responsibilities
This position requires an experienced management and administrative professional to provide security program support. The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign additional duties and responsibilities as required. Perform a variety of duties involving the execution, management, coordination, monitoring and oversight of environmental projects. Plan, manage, and conduct environmental assessments, investigations, designs, remediations, and long-term management and maintenance of hazardous waste and military munitions sites. Plan, manage, and conduct outreach for environmental projects such as preparing community/public outreach materials and presentations as well as presenting technical topics to the regulators, community and public. Conduct project and contract management of environmental projects, including complying with scopes of work, developing and managing project schedules, and performing financial management such as preparing invoices, monthly/periodic status reports, and preparing cost estimates for environmental projects. Prepare technical reports, conduct and oversee quality control reviews of technical documents, design and implementation of investigations and remedial/removal actions, field sampling and field procedures of soil, soil vapor, drinking water, and groundwater investigations, and execution of munitions response projects. Manage client expectations and maintain routine communication with clients and regulatory agencies. Participate in business development and pursue new environmental opportunities. Prepare cost and technical proposals for potential contracts. Network with potential teaming partners and clients. Travel to project sites up to 25% is required. Qualifications
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to interact with clients, regulatory agencies, field operations, technical staff, and subcontractors. Capable of writing project work plans, health and safety plans, traffic control plans, erosion plans, etc. Excellent communication skills (verbal and written). Proven teambuilding and leadership skills highly desired. Military Installation Access and Security Clearance:
This position requires access to military installations. Must be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass and currently hold or be able to obtain a security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Education and Experience: Five or more years of experience in environmental engineering required. Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, or related field from an Accreditation Board of Engineering (ABET) accredited college or university required. Master's degree preferred. Certifications:
P.E. or other professional certifications preferred. OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification with current 8-Hour Annual Refresher preferred. Physical Requirements:

The projected compensation range for this position is $73,500.00 to $92,000.00 (annualized USD).
