Our company is seeking a Permanent Estimator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing cost estimates for our construction projects, which will involve everything from analyzing blueprints and schematics to managing project bidding and budgeting processes. This is a pivotal role within our organization, directly influencing the profitability and success of our projects. If you're a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of the construction industry, we'd love to hear from you.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Estimator, you will:1. Analyze blueprints, schematics, and other project documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.2. Conduct thorough cost analysis and prepare detailed cost reports and proposals.3. Manage the project bidding process, ensuring all bids are accurate, competitive, and timely.4. Oversee budgeting and cost management activities, identifying any potential financial risks and proposing mitigation strategies.5. Perform material take off (MTO) to determine the quantity of materials needed for each project.6. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and contractors to gather all necessary information for estimates.7. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends and technical advancements that may impact future estimates.8. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop a comprehensive understanding of project requirements and objectives.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Permanent Estimator role will have:1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Drywall Estimator or similar role in the construction industry.2. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.3. Strong skills in cost management, project bidding, budgeting, and cost analysis.4. Proven experience in performing Material Take Off (MTO).5. Exceptional numerical and analytical skills, with an ability to create accurate, detailed estimates.6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-focused approach.7. A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.8. Proficiency in using estimating software and other industry-standard tools.9.
