Job Summary
The Warehouse Associate II performs physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping and receiving department.
This role is critical in ensuring accurate order fulfillment, inventory management, and compliance with safety regulations.
Candidates should have prior experience in a warehouse environment, particularly with receiving tasks, and familiarity with powered industrial vehicles (PIV) commonly used in shipping and receiving operations.
Key Responsibilities Perform quality checks on outbound and inbound shipments. Stage and pack outbound shipments in accordance with site policies. Execute ERP system transactions for outbound and inbound shipments. Update Freight Management System (FMS) for parcel and freight shipments. Use handheld RF scanners and Warehouse Management System to fulfill orders. Maintain inventory accuracy and handle hazardous materials for both inbound and outbound shipments. Comply with 5S safety and housekeeping practices. Complete all required safety training and follow protocols in risk situations. Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) appropriate to tasks at hand. Lift up to 75 pounds unassisted. Obtain certification on powered industrial trucks, including work assist vehicles, order pickers, reach trucks, dock stockers, and powered pallet jacks. Create repair Return Merchandise Authorizations (RMAs) and manage receiving and shipment issues within repair systems. Develop familiarity with specific products, processes, operational metrics, and software tools. Provide input for continuous improvement, work instruction documentation, and process standardization. Resolve basic problems under direct supervision and perform rudimentary analyses. Perform activities to evaluate and maintain equipment. Create expense orders for internal repair consumption. Service customer products by evaluating and validating complaint information and repair history. Create work instructions, check sheets, or other process documentation. Train associates in basic work assignments and share new learnings with the team. May obtain certification as an emergency responder and receive training in other areas of safety (e.g., fire extinguisher use). Ensure compliance with ISO requirements and demonstrate this ability during external audits. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required. Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is a plus but not required. Preferred Qualifications
Effective communication skills. Basic computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office, Warehouse Management Systems, and ERP systems. Proficient understanding of desktop usage. Basic math skills; ability to read a ruler. Previous standup forklift operation experience is a plus but not required.
