Description

In this role, you'll be at the center of driving AWS's sales strategy, partnering across Worldwide Specialist teams to deliver business insights, optimize investments, and drive revenue. You'll collaborate with senior Sales, Business, Engineering, and Finance leaders on designing and implementing inspection frameworks to assess business performance and financial outcomes. You'll build new mechanisms to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data, and you'll provide financial insights that drive our day-to-day business and position us for future growth.
You are a well-rounded performer and will play an impactful role on the team. You demonstrate excellent business judgment and problem solving, and possess strong attention to detail.
Key job responsibilities
Building rhythm of the business processes that help business leaders understand progress to goals as well as strategic insights to guide overall direction. Leading the financial support for existing Business reviews (WBR, MBR etc.), providing key insights on progress toward goals, working with teams on get-to-green plans, and assessing future risks. Create and implement business mechanisms that are scalable to help the team make data-driven decisions. Driving thought leadership to identify and implement solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes. Collecting, analyzing, and presenting data-driven research that challenges the status quo and champions change. Performing ad-hoc analysis proactively and present findings to senior leadership. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience. 5+ years of multiple finance and accounting roles experience. 6+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience. 6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience. 6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience. 6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience. 6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience. Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience. Preferred Qualifications 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience. 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience. MBA, or CPA. Knowledge of SQL/ETL. Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards). The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
