Job Description: As a Database Analyst, you will be responsible for refining data warehouse models, improving Python ETL code, and collaborating with business teams to meet data reporting requirements. This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, effective communication with diverse stakeholders, and adaptability to evolving project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Refine and optimize data warehouse models to ensure robust and scalable architecture. Design, enhance, and maintain Python-based ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Collaborate with business teams to gather and analyze data reporting requirements. Develop and maintain high-quality SQL queries, preferably using MS SQL Server or Google BigQuery. Utilize Python libraries such as Pandas and SQLAlchemy to support data transformations. Leverage ETL tools such as Airflow, NiFi, or dbt to automate data workflows. Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous code and process validation. Contribute to the implementation of best practices for data modeling and ETL processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making. Stay updated on advancements in data warehousing, ETL methodologies, and related technologies.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

Proficiency in data modeling and advanced SQL query development. Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and Google BigQuery. Expertise in Python ETL development with familiarity in libraries like Pandas and SQLAlchemy. Experience with ETL tools such as Airflow, NiFi, or dbt. Strong problem-solving and communication skills to bridge technical and non-technical gaps.

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. Familiarity with data warehousing methodologies like Inmon, Kimball, or Data Vault. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git or Terraform. Proficiency in reporting tools like Tableau or R Shiny. Experience working with public health data. Strong interest in code quality and assurance practices.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
