Carbon Registry & Reporting Lead

The Registry & Reporting lead will manage all internal and external interactions with carbon registries, directly enabling Terradot to deliver its core product: registered carbon dioxide removal (CDR). By managing the registration process and ensuring ongoing compliance, this role is essential for achieving the company's customer obligations and registering its first tons of CDR in 2025. This position will also develop and implement a long-term registry strategy, shaping Terradot's ability to operate and scale its CDR offerings, ensuring long-term success in the carbon market.

English Required, Proficiency in Portuguese preferred Role Responsibilities: Lead Terradot's Carbon Registry Strategy and Execution:
This role will be the driving force behind securing and maintaining successful registrations with key carbon registries (e.g.,
Puro.earth , Isometric). This directly impacts Terradot's ability to generate and sell carbon credits, the core of our business model, and contributes to the growth of a robust and transparent carbon market. This includes managing the entire registration process, from initial application to ongoing verification and reporting.
Ensure Compliance with Registry Protocols and Standards:
This role will be responsible for meticulously ensuring that Terradot's processes and projects adhere to the rigorous requirements of various carbon registries. This is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our carbon credits and building trust with customers and stakeholders, contributing to the overall credibility of nature-based carbon removal solutions.
Develop and Maintain Key Relationships with Carbon Registries:
This role will serve as Terradot's primary point of contact with registries, building strong relationships and advocating for our interests. By effectively navigating the registry landscape, this role will influence the development of industry best practices and contribute to shaping a more efficient and effective carbon market.
Collaborate with Internal Teams to Gather and Prepare Documentation for Registry Submissions:
This role will work closely with various internal teams (science, operations, legal, etc.) to compile and synthesize the necessary data and documentation for registry submissions. This ensures seamless collaboration and efficient project execution, enabling Terradot to bring its carbon removal projects to market quickly and effectively.
Monitor and Analyze Registry Developments and Trends:
This role will stay abreast of the evolving landscape of carbon registries, including new methodologies, standards, and policies. By proactively identifying opportunities and challenges, this role will help Terradot maintain a competitive edge and ensure its long-term success in the carbon market.
Background and Requirements: Extensive experience working with or at carbon market registries, including a deep understanding of methodologies, protocols, and successful registration track record.
Proven ability to produce high-quality, comprehensive technical reports (100+ pages) for complex projects.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, including facilitating input from diverse internal teams.
Strong external communication and influencing skills, particularly with technical audiences.
Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a relevant scientific discipline.
Strategic thinking and long-term planning abilities within the carbon market landscape.
