Job Summary: We are seeking a visionary and strategic leader to lead our organization's data management, analytics, and enterprise architecture initiatives. This member of IT leadership team will ensure the integration of data strategy with enterprise architecture to drive business innovation and operational excellence. This role will oversee the development, governance, and optimization of data assets while fostering a data-driven culture and aligning data capabilities with organizational goals. Key Responsibilities:

Data Strategy and Leadership

Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy in alignment with the organization’s mission and enterprise architecture goals. Serve as a thought leader on data, analytics, enterprise systems, and emerging technologies to drive innovation. Partner with senior leaders to integrate data strategy into overall business and IT strategy. Enterprise Architecture

Collaborate with IT leadership to design and implement enterprise architecture frameworks that support data-driven decision-making. Ensure seamless integration of data platforms, tools, and processes within the broader enterprise architecture. Drive the alignment of data systems with business objectives, ensuring scalability, interoperability, and efficiency. Oversee data architecture to ensure that it supports advanced analytics, business intelligence, and real-time decision-making. Data Governance and Compliance

Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA). Implement robust data security and privacy practices within the enterprise architecture. Maintain the integrity, accuracy, and accessibility of data assets across the enterprise. Analytics and Business Insights

Lead the development of advanced analytics, machine learning, and data visualization capabilities. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) that align with strategic objectives. Leverage data insights to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and revenue growth. Data Infrastructure and Technology

Design and oversee scalable data infrastructure aligned with enterprise architecture standards. Stay informed on emerging technologies and assess their potential to enhance enterprise and data architecture. Manage vendor relationships and ensure alignment of technology solutions with organizational goals. Team Leadership and Development

Build and lead a high-performing team of data scientists, architects, and analysts. Promote a collaborative environment between data and IT teams, ensuring alignment on enterprise architecture goals. Mentor team members to develop technical and leadership capabilities. Qualifications

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Enterprise Architecture, or related field (Master’s or Ph.D. preferred). 15+ years of experience in data management, enterprise architecture, and analytics, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Skills and Competencies

Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks and data governance. Strong knowledge of data architecture, big data platforms, and cloud-based solutions. Experience integrating data systems into enterprise-wide architectures. Advanced understanding of machine learning, AI, and business intelligence tools. Proven leadership and strategic planning capabilities. Excellent stakeholder communication and project management skills. Additional Information

An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs. The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future. You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance. Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
