It is the responsibility of the Professional Nurse to implement the Hospital's Mission and goals through established policies, procedures and performance improvement activities. Implementation of these goals occurs through organization and administration of individualized age specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital. The understanding of the principles of growth and development will be incorporated to assess each patient's age specific needs and determine age specific treatment modalities. The RN Coordinator is responsible for implementing care and coordination of services by assisting with scheduling of patients, obtaining authorizations, corresponding with referring physicians, maintaining adequate supplies on the unit, entering statistical information, entering charges for billable procedures and working with Finance to ensure accuracy of accounts.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
