In addition to our wonderful culture, our doctors are supported by an incredibly experienced support staff with multiple certified veterinary technicians.Position Purpose: Woodhaven Animal Health in Plover, Wisconsin, is looking for an experienced DVM to share their leadership skills with our successful practice as our Managing Veterinarian. Our practice will be an excellent opportunity to display business acumen and help grow an already well-established hospital. The Managing DVM is responsible for providing medical and non-medical leadership for the practice, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance relating to veterinary medicine. The Managing DVM is also responsible for creating an environment of teamwork and collaboration in which quality medicine is delivered. Additional responsibilities include guiding the direction of the practice, advancing medical care, and monitoring the practice's financial performance. Essential Responsibilities:Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.Provide counsel around pet end of life care.Maintain patients’ medical records.Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.Appropriate state licensure.Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experienceUnlimited personal timeBonus incentivesHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insuranceRetirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)CE and licensure reimbursement Flexible work schedulesManaging career path developmentEmployee Assistance ProgramDVM Referral ProgramMental Health ResourcesRelocation assistance available
