Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Glue Architect with a strong background in ETL development and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with AWS Glue and other AWS services to design and implement end-to-end data processing solutions. This role requires a solid understanding of data lakes, data pipelines, and transformation processes, as well as the ability to integrate multiple data sources for efficient analytics.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines using AWS Glue for data integration and transformation
• Build and manage data lakes, data warehouses, and data pipelines on AWS to enable efficient data processing
• Integrate various data sources, including SQL databases and other repositories, for comprehensive data processing and analytics
• Design and implement data transformation processes to clean, enrich, and structure data for business and analytical purposes
• Enhance and create AWS Lambda functions as part of the data processing workflow where necessary
• Implement and manage monitoring and alerting systems using AWS CloudWatch to identify and address potential pipeline issues proactively
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements and ensure seamless integration of AWS services
• Optimize performance and reliability of ETL processes across the AWS ecosystem
• Ensure secure access management and governance by leveraging AWS IAM policies
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in ETL development and data engineering
• Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Glue for data integration, transformation, and ETL processes
• Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) tasks across relational databases
• Solid background in building and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and scalable data pipelines on AWS
• Deep familiarity with AWS services, including S3, Redshift, Lambda, Athena, CloudWatch, and IAM
• Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, SSIS, or similar platforms
• Proven experience designing and implementing end-to-end data transformation processes
• Strong understanding of monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue resolution
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in performance tuning of ETL processes for large-scale data solutions
• Prior experience with AWS security and governance best practices
• Strong analytical skills to structure and optimize data for business needs
