Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr Principal Systems Engineer (T04) for the Payloads Modeling, Simulation and Analysis team. This position is located in Roy, UT and supports the Sentinel program.
This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
What You’ll Get To Do:
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
Develop Payload models to simulate and evaluate hardware performance
Perform model validation of various Payloads through test and analysis
Participate in technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for missile system payloads
Perform analysis to support derivation of lower level requirements
Verify Payload specifications and designs through modeling and simulation, test data processing, and performance analysis
Generate Threat Models
Generate and analyze radar and optical signatures of payload objects
Analyze exo and endo-atmospheric trajectories
Review test plans and support testing to ensure proper data objectives are met to validate models
Create analysis documents, verification and validation(V&V) plans, and V&V reports
Present analysis results to both internal and external stakeholders
Interface with AF customer
Interface with intelligence community
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD (with 2 years of Systems Engineering experience)
US Citizenship with an active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
3+ years of Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis experience
1+ years of experience with Radar or optical/infrared analysis for missile defense purposes
1+ years of experience with model Verification and Validation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Verification and Validation plan development and execution
1+ years of Missile defense radar analysis
1+ years of countermeasure design and analysis
1+ year of optical and infrared analysis
5+ years of Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis experience
Experience developing 6DOF models
Experience with analytic models such as OSC, XPATCH, and Method of Moments codes

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Salary Range: $118,600 - $178,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
