Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

Required Experience: Minimum of (5) five years of solid experience Demonstrated experience in data governance, data management, or similar roles Strong facilitation skills with experience in leading meetings and workshops Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Extensive knowledge of data catalog tools such as Informatica Axon or EDC, Collibra, and Alation Familiarity with data protection laws and compliance requirements Ability to effectively collaborate in a team environment and manage multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications: Certifications in data management such as DAMA DMBOK or CDMP Practical experience with data governance tooling products, as stated above Strong organizational skills, problem-solving aptitude, and attention to detail Excellent communication and presentation skills Strong initiative, ability to manage multiple projects, and strong follow-through skills Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Must be able to work collaboratively, collegially, and cooperatively with others in an environment where deliverables are potentially dependent on the output of others

Client is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to join their Data Management team. This role is essential for managing and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of data across the organization. The successful candidate will excel in facilitating data governance meetings, crafting detailed documentation, and overseeing initiatives such as data cataloging, data sharing agreements, data governance tooling including Collibra, Alation, or Informatica, and standardizing common data elements across various systems.

Data Governance Analyst detailed list of job duties and responsibilities: Facilitate and lead data governance meetings to ensure stakeholder alignment with data management standards Generate functional and technical documentation, including detailed specifications for database fields, mappings to code, and application screen integrations Responsible for cataloging the implementation and management of data utilizing tools such as Informatica Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC) or Alation Data Catalog (ADC) to improve data quality and accessibility Create and maintain data-sharing agreements adhering to compliance and legal standards Standardizing Common Data Elements (CDE) across multiple systems to improve consistency and accuracy Implement and define database field elements, ensuring scalability and structure mappings to application screens and backend code Develop mapping data element strategies for applications, functionalities, and interfaces, ensuring adequate data integration and efficient user experience Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to administer data governance principles and practices Train business users on data governance policies and tools, including Informatica Axon, to ensure comprehensive understanding and adherence Consistently monitor and evaluate data practices, identifying opportunities for enhancements and data-driven processes
