We serve all sizes of commercial mechanical companies across the U.S. with end user clients that include many top Fortune 100 companies. Projects include data centers, semiconductor and EV battery manufacturers, universities, health care facilities, and district energy systems. Position Overview: The Human Resources generalist serves as a strategic partner to designated business units, ensuring HR strategies align with organizational objectives. This role is responsible for providing guidance on HR policies, talent management, employee relations, and organizational development to drive business success. The HR generalist collaborates closely with leaders and employees to foster a positive work environment and support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Partnership:
- Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with organizational strategies and objectives.
- Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.
- Use data-driven approaches to influence decision-making and improve business outcomes.
Talent Management:
- Drive talent acquisition strategies in collaboration with hiring managers and our internal recruiter.
- Support onboarding, development, and retention programs to enhance employee experience.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and career development planning.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a trusted advisor for employees and leaders, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and managing grievances.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and organizational policies.
- Promote a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Organizational Development:
- Support change management initiatives and foster an adaptable, agile workplace culture.
- Conduct organizational assessments and recommend solutions to improve team effectiveness and engagement.
- Design and deliver training programs to support leadership and employee development.
HR Policy and Compliance:
- Implement and communicate HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and legal compliance.
- Provide guidance on compensation, benefits, and rewards programs.
- Monitor and analyze HR metrics to drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on business partnership or generalist functions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in HR software and tools, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- HR certification (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
