The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor, ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and quality-driven environment. This role involves managing a team of production staff, coordinating resources, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes.
 Key Responsibilities

1. Team Management:
   • Supervise and coordinate the activities of production employees.
   • Monitor employee performance, provide coaching and feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
   • Develop work schedules and assign tasks to ensure production targets are met.
2. Production Oversight:
   • Ensure daily production goals are achieved in line with quality and efficiency standards.
   • Monitor equipment and workflow to identify and resolve production bottlenecks.
   • Coordinate with maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure equipment functionality.
3. Safety and Compliance:
   • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
   • Conduct safety training and regular inspections to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
   • Address safety incidents promptly and implement corrective actions.
4. Quality Control:
   • Maintain product quality standards by monitoring production processes.
   • Address quality issues and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
5. Process Improvement:
   • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency and reduce waste.
   • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects.
   • Implement and document new processes or procedures.
6. Communication and Reporting:
   • Communicate production updates, challenges, and solutions to management.
   • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including production reports, timesheets, and inventory logs.
   • Act as a liaison between production teams and other departments.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
• Skills:
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficient in using manufacturing software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Microsoft Office).
  • Knowledge of safety and quality standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).

Working Conditions

• This position requires standing for long periods, exposure to noise, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
• May involve shift work or extended hours to meet production deadlines.
