Join the Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos as an Enterprise Architect, where you will play a critical role in enhancing the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise Development, Application, and Training (EDAT) mission. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide innovative, data-driven solutions and improvements to enterprise architecture that enable seamless operations across USSOCOM's global network. We focus on the rapid development and deployment of technologies to boost the mobility and readiness of Special Operations Forces (SOF) during diverse missions.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive the development and management of the project's enterprise architecture, ensuring alignment with long-term goals and objectives.
Establish a robust architectural framework that effectively integrates systems, applications, and processes.
Transform business strategies into actionable technical requirements, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure.
Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to ensure enterprise architecture aligns with mission-critical objectives.
Design comprehensive architectural plans for the integration of new technologies and processes into existing systems.
Enhance interoperability between legacy and modern systems while prioritizing performance and security.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of enterprise systems for optimization and cost-efficiency.
Conduct capacity planning to ensure IT infrastructure adapts to changing mission needs.
Work with development teams to ensure systems and applications comply with DoD security standards, especially in classified environments.
Implement comprehensive enterprise-wide security controls aligned with established frameworks such as RMF, DISA STIG, and NIST 800-53.
Lead documentation efforts related to enterprise architecture, ensuring all systems, processes, and integrations are accurately captured.
Maintain thorough records to support future architectural planning and operational continuity.
Continuously assess emerging technologies to keep the IT infrastructure state-of-the-art and capable of meeting future requirements.
Provide strategic recommendations to leadership regarding technological advancement and modernization initiatives.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Certification in one of the following: TOGAF Certification, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or related fields, with proven leadership in significant IT projects, or 10+ years' experience with a Master's degree.
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing enterprise-wide architectural frameworks in secure and complex environments.
Expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or DoDAF.
Proficient in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Must possess a Top Secret (TS) clearance.
Strong collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams in aligning enterprise architecture with program objectives.
Exceptional communication and leadership capabilities to articulate architectural strategies effectively.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Security-related certifications like CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or CCSP.
Understanding of USSOCOM's operational requirements and the SOF Information Environment (SIE).
Experience supporting DoD programs with a focus on stringent security and compliance mandates.
Deep knowledge of enterprise data management, cloud-native architectures, and microservices frameworks.
Experience in integrating AI/ML technologies and advanced analytics within enterprise architectures.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies for enhanced operational capabilities.
Experience in developing roadmaps and strategies for IT modernization and transformation.
Strong documentation skills for enterprise architecture processes and systems for knowledge sharing and compliance.
Experience in mentoring junior architects and engineering teams on architectural frameworks and best practices.
