Business Technology Integrators is seeking a Senior Network Security Engineer
to provide expert-level technical leadership and engineering support for designing, implementing, and managing secure, large-scale networks. This role involves analyzing network requirements, integrating secure solutions, performing system assessments, and ensuring adherence to U.S. Government security policies and best practices. The individual will develop and manage network infrastructure strategies, lead security architecture implementations, and support remote access and zero trust network capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership and Strategic Planning
Serve as a technical expert and leader for Enterprise Engineering and Network Support Services. Define strategy and architecture to guide enterprise cloud system and application deployments. Identify and develop lifecycle processes, creating a unified approach to network engineering and enterprise network systems management. Recommend and develop cutting-edge solutions for network security and telecommunication needs, including cloud integration, telephony, and special-category telecommunications. Network Security Design and Implementation
Analyze and implement solutions for secure remote access systems, including VPNs, authentication methods, and zero trust architectures. Create Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs) for remote access systems and ensure alignment with federal standards like HSPD-12. Manage configurations, testing, and certification of network security systems. Establish and maintain a central repository of certified applications for secure remote access. Cloud and Zero Trust Integration
Lead the integration of cloud networking technologies, ensuring compliance with zero trust principles and NIST guidelines. Provide expertise in cloud networking, data analytics, and artificial intelligence capabilities. Implement SASE controls and protocols for enhanced security. System Analysis and Assessment
Perform systems analysis to ensure compatibility of new services with existing infrastructure. Support certification and accreditation (C&A) requirements for secure systems. Evaluate network configurations and recommend improvements for secure and optimized performance. Training and Support
Provide Tier 2 support for troubleshooting connectivity and usability issues. Train and educate users and bureau representatives on secure system implementation and usage. Develop comprehensive documentation and guidance for network security installations. Experience & Requirements: Technical Skills:
Advanced knowledge of Cisco and Fortinet routing protocols, including OSPF and BGP. Expertise in VPN technologies, including Cisco IPsec and Juniper VPN configurations. Strong knowledge of network security principles, including access controls, TACACS, and authentication systems. Proficiency in network infrastructure tools such as Juniper Firewalls and HP-Aruba Secure Wireless Networks. Comprehensive understanding of IPv4, IPv6, and cloud networking integration. Remote Access and Security Expertise:
Hands-on experience with remote access solutions, including satellite and modem connectivity. Knowledge of Active Directory for VPN user authentication. Proficiency in implementing 2-Factor Authentication and zero trust architectures. Familiarity with SASE frameworks and advanced cybersecurity techniques. Cloud and Unified Communication Systems:
Experience with Microsoft Teams and cloud-based telephony systems. Expertise in deploying and managing Microsoft Office 365 products and automation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project). Knowledge of Microsoft Intune for mobile device and application management. Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with U.S. Government security policies, including NIST standards and DoD guidelines. Demonstrated ability to design and manage large-scale network infrastructures.
