StoneTurn is seeking a qualified Partner to expand its National Security Practice focused on matters related to Financial Crimes, CFIUS, Sanctions, and Export Controls. Job Summary: In this position you will be responsible for leading the business development efforts and managing client engagements for investigations and compliance and monitoring matters as a member of our national security practice. The national security practice involves matters relating to financial crimes, CFIUS and other FDI regimes, sanctions and export controls within the US and international markets. You will collaborate with Partners across the firm to deliver a strategic plan including raising the firm's profile in the national security market, leveraging pre-existing relationships and driving the acquisition of new clients. Responsibilities: Lead and execute strategic approach to marketing and business development initiatives; researching and identifying opportunities; expanding on an existing client base and internal (cross-functional) relationships within cyber security, and business intelligence and investigations. Lead the proposal process for engagements, including the preparation of budget estimates. Win and manage projects involving national security (financial crimes, CFIUS, sanctions and export controls) related matters. Produce thought leadership on key business issues which impact national security. Attend industry events, hold webinars and events for clients on hot topics which will impact national security matters. Effectively manage risks associated with engagements. Direct management in the review and summarization of client documents, analyst reports, and third party financial and industry data. Lead the creation and development of client deliverables and present findings. Accountable for multiple priorities and projects, oversight of timely preparation and quality control of client deliverables while managing the expectations of clients to help ensure satisfaction. Demonstrate professionalism and foster a team-oriented environment through a positive and cooperative attitude and by maintaining the confidential and proprietary nature of client relationships and related work product. Facilitate client and internal team meetings to document client objectives and requirements, while making recommendations and determining the best solutions. Mentor and develop senior leadership including, but not limited to, Managing Directors and Managers. Manage team and oversee engagement management administration, including billing and conflict checks. Required Qualifications: BA degree within business, graduate level education is encouraged. 10-15+ years of relevant experience within public services or consulting experience relating to matters of national security. Strong relationships with clients at law firms, corporates, and government agencies with a demonstrable track record of winning business (portable book of business). A strong track record of identifying, building, and sustaining long-term relationships. Ability to plan and manage at strategic levels while displaying willingness to be highly executional on project delivery. Exceptional track record of developing and executing strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment. Excellent written and sophisticated oral communication skills. Ability to speak authoritatively on national security matters in a variety of forums (one-to one, pitches, panels and events). Collaborative mind-set, strong at 'connecting the dots', content to work autonomously with pace and drive. Strong level of integrity and a good role model.
