The Opportunity: We're looking for a passionate database engineer to work with a fast-paced, highly collaborative software development team building and launching capability for Enterprise web-based systems in the Cybersecurity field. You'll have the opportunity to work on automation of nation-level, mission-critical security processes, workflows, and sensor data in risk management, compliance, vulnerability management, and continuous monitoring. You'll be responsible for design, development, testing, and documentation of robust, performant relational database schemas, queries, and jobs. You'll leverage your technical expertise in relational databases to design high-scale data storage, develop queries, optimize performance, and maintain production-grade systems. You’ll use your communication skills to work with a diverse team of analysts and engineers to build, test, and operate system capabilities. You should be able to work independently while collaborating with a team to review designs, code, configurations, and solve problems. You Have: 5+ years of experience working on software development teams 5+ years of experience with schema design, indexes and sharding, query optimization, and large-scale ETL 3+ years of experience with high-scale relational databases in production using SQL Server or PostgreSQL 3+ years of experience with scripting and programming, including SQL, PowerShell, or Bash, and C#, C++, or Java 3+ years of experience with database version control and database administration Knowledge of web technologies, applications, software systems and networks, and database security Secret clearance Bachelor’s degree Nice If You Have: Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) Experience with ORMs, including LINQ or Entity Framework Experience with Cloud, including AWS RDS or Azure SQL Experience with ElasticSearch Experience with DoD STIGs Top Secret clearance Master's degree DoD 8570 IAT II Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
