Position Summary
The QNX Automotive Sales team is seeking a
Principal Solutions Architect
with deep expertise in automotive infotainment, to lead our engagements with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and T1 suppliers in North America. In this role, you will rely in your in-depth knowledge of automotive infotainment systems to educate and assist our customers on their journey to adopt, architect, and implement QNX Sound and other QNX products. You will use your leadership and communication skills, technical expertise, and know-how to guide our customers as they embark on the transition towards software-defined audio architectures. Your hands-on experience in building scalable, high-performance infotainment architectures will ensure the successful delivery of cutting-edge sound experiences in next-generation vehicles.
As the Principal Solutions Architect, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including signal processing scientists, infotainment SW development engineers, product and marketing managers, sales representatives, as well as ecosystem partner managers and other internal stakeholders involved in the sales cycle of QNX Sound to drive adoption of state-of-the-art audio solutions for our OEM customers. Your role will be critical in shaping the future of automotive sound systems in next generation infotainment software platforms.

You will: Lead new business engagements with automotive OEM and T1customers by proactively leading the architecture and integration discussions and proposing solutions based on QNX technologies as well as product and customer long term strategies. Analyze and understand specific audio and infotainment requirements to guide internal cross-functional teams to meet performance benchmarks, including latency, CPU utilization, and power efficiency, etc. Help manage RFQs by structuring technical proposals in alignment with other teams such as engineering, sales, product management, etc. Actively contribute to the continuous improvement and optimization of QNX Sound and other QNX infotainment middleware solutions by providing input to internal engineering and product management teams in the form of technical insights, voice of the customer and industry trends. Assist with technology demonstrations and evaluation requests as well as technology benchmarks, owning the maintenance and constant evolution of desktop and in vehicle demonstration equipment. Participate in industry panels, webinars & conferences as a subject matter expert in automotive audio, assisting in the development of presentation, web & general marketing materials. Foster and strengthen strategic partner relationships that can develop into growth opportunities for the QNX Sound portfolio. You will have;
Significant experience architecting and deploying automotive infotainment systems at automotive OEMs, with a focus on audio and acoustics. In-depth knowledge of the design and integration of automotive sound systems, including understanding of acoustics algorithms and digital signal processing methodologies utilized in automotive, with proven ability to drive architectural decisions in line with business and client requirements. Strong familiarity with different automotive acoustics domains such as active noise control, media playback, cabin acoustics, voice processing, hands free telephony, etc. Good understanding mobile device integration in the vehicle's infotainment system would be a plus. Familiarity with sound processing protocols such as ALSA, ASRC, A2B, and MOST, and knowledge of automotive standards like ITU P11XX, ISO 26262, etc. would be a plus. Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate advanced and complex concepts while keeping a strategic perspective. Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with different stakeholders and come to a consensus. Willingness to work with remote teams globally in different time zones. Relevant degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Acoustics Engineering, or related fields. Advanced degrees are a plus. Experience with QNX or other real-time operating systems (RTOS) is a plus.
