Chief Nursing Officer/Chief Operating Officer
Location: Texas Salary: USD 200,000 - 250,000 Posted on: Oct 22, 2021 Profile: CNO/COO Northern Texas Small 5-star hospital Will oversee 185 FTEs Patient satisfaction is a priority at this hospital Seeking a team player looking for a growth opportunity They recently added ortho, podiatry, and neuro surgeries, with plans to add more service lines Plans to build a new hospital in 2-3 years Must have CNO experience Salary around 175-185k with a 10% bonus Job Summary: The Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) / Chief Operating Officer (COO) coordinates and oversees all aspects of nursing care delivery and related clinical services for the hospital. This role provides leadership in planning and executing the strategic plan, assures financial success, maintains accreditation/regulatory compliance, and promotes a positive work environment consistent with the mission and vision of the organization. The CNO/COO will facilitate, direct, and coordinate operational activities and programs related to the day-to-day hospital operations, delivering cost-effective, high-quality services. This includes responsibility for ancillary services, diagnostic services, support services, quality, and facility services, impacting operational and financial imperatives. Working closely with employed and non-employed physicians, the CNO/COO will build effective partnerships and promote collaborative relationships throughout the medical center. The CNO/COO assures implementation of local and system-wide policies and initiatives, supervising departmental personnel and all functions, including developing and maintaining nursing and other assigned departments, service objectives, standards of care, policies, procedures, and educational services. Job Qualifications: Education:
Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing. Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Master's degree in Nursing or equivalent preferred. Personal Job-Related Skills:
Advanced knowledge of nursing theories and practices. Leadership and management abilities, and effective oral and written communication skills. Licensure, Registry or Certification:
Registered Nurse currently licensed by the State of Texas Board of Nursing. BLS and CPI required. Experience:
Five years of professional nursing experience in a hospital setting and two years in a nursing managerial or supervisory role. Demonstrated leadership experience and accomplishments by building and nurturing teams. Must have an active interest and experience in mentoring and growing clinical leaders. Open, collegial management style. Must have experience working and living in a rural community. Technical Training:
Training in electronic medical records (EMR), advanced personal computer skills, staffing patterns and patient acuity, contracts and contract negotiation, case management, payor negotiation, and service excellence.
