Data Engineer/Database Administrator
As a Data Engineer/Data Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructure to support modern data solutions. Your expertise will drive the optimization of applications, streamline data workflows, and ensure the seamless integration of cutting-edge tools and platforms. A key focus will be leveraging cloud-native solutions, with a strong emphasis on
Azure and AWS cloud engineering , and advanced SQL data engineering practices to enable scalable and efficient data management.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and implementation of database structures, including
star schema models , to optimize performance and support analytics. Develop, test, and maintain
data pipelines
using tools such as
Azure Data Factory (ADF) ,
Databricks , and
AzureSQL
for efficient ETL workflows. Collaborate with development and analytics teams to refine database architectures for scalability and reliability. Monitor and address database performance, ensuring high availability and efficiency. Implement and support
medallion architecture
to manage and optimize data flows across bronze, silver, and gold layers. Apply expertise in
backup and recovery processes , database security best practices, and integration of external APIs. Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of database design, including
star schema
modeling and performance tuning. Experience with SQL Server, Azure Synapse, and AWS cloud services. Hands-on expertise with
ADF ,
Databricks , and
Apache Spark
for ETL and data engineering workflows. Familiarity with modern cloud-native tools for data integration and orchestration. Knowledge of data visualization tools such as
Microsoft Fabric
and
Power BI SaaS products .

Salary-- $110-140K/year with 10-15% bonus potential
This is a 40 hour a week onsite opportunity.
