The Estimator will play a critical role on the client's preconstruction team. This individual will be responsible for preparing bids, and working closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and assess overall scope and cost of projects.

We are a well-established general contractor based in Central New Jersey, specializing in the construction of industrial and pharmaceutical facilities. With a reputation for delivering complex, high-value projects the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cost analysis, value engineering, and the unique demands of the industrial and pharma sectors.
Description
Key Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for industrial and pharmaceutical projects.
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and design teams to define project scope and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate cost data.
Perform quantity take-offs, labor and material cost analysis, and unit pricing to build comprehensive estimates.
Collaborate with the project team to identify and manage risks associated with cost, schedule, and scope.
Prepare bid proposals, including detailed breakdowns of material, labor, and equipment costs.
Ensure all estimates are aligned with project budgets, timelines, and client requirements.
Maintain and track historical data for estimating purposes and continually improve estimating practices.
Provide input on constructability and value engineering solutions to optimize cost-efficiency.
Assist with contract negotiations and scope of work agreements.
Profile
Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years of estimating experience in industrial and pharmaceutical construction.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and labor costs specific to industrial and pharmaceutical sectors.
Proficient in using estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage Estimating, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
Solid understanding of construction codes, regulations, and industry standards relevant to industrial and pharma construction.
Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to develop accurate, reliable cost estimates.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.
