Full Job Description

Mint Cannabis is a rapidly growing company in the cannabis industry, committed to excellence in every aspect of our operations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. If you are a self-motivated professional with a passion for numbers and a desire to contribute to a dynamic industry, this opportunity is for you.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Management: Accurately enter and process accounts payable (AP) transactions in QuickBooks Online, ensuring timely and precise invoice recording. Vendor Payments: Monitor and prioritize urgent vendor payments, communicating effectively with the finance team to ensure prompt resolution. AP Analysis: Analyze AP aging reports and track key metrics, reporting KPIs to management to inform financial decisions. Vendor Relations: Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to facilitate payments, resolve disputes, and maintain positive relationships. Reconciliation: Reconcile AP accounts to the general ledger (G/L) and monthly bank statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Audit Support: Provide research and documentation for annual audit requests as needed. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with sales, purchasing, and finance departments to maintain effective communication and resolve financial issues. Process Improvement: Review current AP processes and workflows, recommending increased efficiency and productivity. Project Assistance: Support the Senior Accountant with special projects and tasks as required.

Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience in a dedicated AP role Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work with people at all levels across the organization with a team mentality Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines Must be professional, detail-oriented, maintain a high level of confidentiality, and Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with speed and accuracy. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a willingness to "roll up sleeves" as needed Must have experience tracking a high volume of intercompany transactions Must have extensive experience with QuickBooks Online

Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance desired, but strong corporate experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Salary: $40,000-50,000/Year
