Physician Assistant - Otolaryngology Job Description: Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physician Assistant to join our Otolaryngology Inpatient team. In this role, you will work closely with our renowned Otolaryngologists to provide comprehensive care to patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions. The Physician Assistant will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and managing both acute and chronic conditions, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities:Perform comprehensive health assessments on patients with otolaryngological conditions.Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results.Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians.Provide patient education and counseling on treatment plans and management.Monitor patients' progress, manage complications, and make appropriate referrals as needed.Document patient care activities accurately and timely in the electronic medical record system.Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care discussions.Serve as a resource and educator for nursing staff, residents, and medical students. Qualifications:Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Maryland.Minimum of two years of clinical experience, preferably in Otolaryngology or a related specialty.Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in electronic medical record documentation.
