Position: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)/Advanced Practice Provider (APP)Location: Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC), Baltimore, MD About Us:As part of the Johns Hopkins Medicine (JHM) system, Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center (JHBMC) features a 26-bed Level III NICU and serves as a regional perinatal center in southeast Baltimore City. Our NICU cares for infants from 23 weeks gestational age and above, addressing a wide range of neonatal pathologies and complexities. Role Overview:The NNP/APP will attend high-risk deliveries, care for NICU patients, and coordinate care with Maternal Fetal Medicine and Hopkins Pediatric subspecialists. The role includes being part of the Pediatric Code Blue Team. As an independent healthcare provider, the NNP/APP will:• Take medical histories and perform physical examinations• Order and interpret laboratory tests• Perform procedures including intubations, ventilator management, central line placements, thoracentesis, thoracostomy, exchange transfusions, lumbar punctures, suprapubic taps• Prescribe controlled and non-controlled substances and perform intraosseous (IO) proceduresUnit Features:• Full spectrum of respiratory support devices including bubble CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, conventional and high-frequency ventilators, and inhaled nitric oxide• Staffed by board-certified neonatologists, neonatology fellows, and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners• Opportunities to engage in Research, Education, Mentoring, Informatics, and Patient Safety initiativesShifts:• Full-time, 36 hours per week• Rotating day and night shifts• Weekends and holidays requiredQualifications:• MSN/DNP from an accredited nursing program or equivalent training for Physician Assistants• Active Maryland RN and Neonatal CRNP licenses or appropriate Physician Assistant certifications• BLS, CPR, and NRP certifications• For new graduate NNPs: 3 years of NICU RN experience required; Physician Assistants considered based on training and relevant work experience• Active Maryland CDS and Federal DEA licenses Benefits:• Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package• Opportunities for professional growth and development• Supportive work environment with a focus on teamwork and patient care excellence Application Instructions:To apply, please submit your CV and cover letter through our career page.
