Job Summary:
The Data Analyst will gather, process, and analyze data to help the organization make data-driven decisions. This role involves using statistical techniques, data visualization, and reporting tools to interpret and present data insights that drive business strategies and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Collection & Cleaning: Collect, clean, and validate large sets of data from various sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
- Data Analysis: Use statistical techniques to analyze data, identify trends, and generate insights that help improve business processes and decision-making.
- Reporting & Visualization: Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data findings in a clear and understandable format for stakeholders.
- Data Interpretation: Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support key business functions, including marketing, operations, and product development.
- Trend Identification: Monitor and identify key business trends by analyzing historical data and performance metrics, highlighting areas of opportunity or concern.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments (e.g., marketing, sales, finance) to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights to inform their strategies.
- Database Management: Assist with managing databases, ensuring data integrity and security, and optimizing queries for efficient data retrieval.
- Reporting Automation: Develop automated data pipelines and reports to improve efficiency and streamline reporting processes.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by management or other teams to answer specific business questions or solve problems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest data analysis trends, techniques, and tools, and continuously improve data collection and analysis methods.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, R, Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify patterns and trends.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualization techniques.
- Experience with data management and cleaning, ensuring high data quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex data insights in an understandable way for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud).
- Experience with machine learning techniques and predictive modeling.
- Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of databases and proficiency in SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations and best practices.
