As the Accounting Manager at Italic, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping and financial management, ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead monthly close process, ensuring that financial statements are produced in accordance with US GAAP

  • Prepare and review monthly schedules for key accounts

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate classification of OpEx categorizations

  • Prepare and report on weekly cash forecasting to management

  • Process payroll, including tax and benefit deductions and month-end accruals

  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes

  • Oversee and manage tax compliance, including sales tax requirements across states

  • Support monthly/quarterly reporting for leadership team, Board of Directors and investors

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

  • CPA license or equivalent is required

  • Proven experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or accounting manager, preferably in a similar industry

  • Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)

  • Strong understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), specifically revenue recognition principles and inventory cost accounting
