Description:

As an Accounting Assistant at CapVest, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of our financial operations. Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks across our diverse portfolio of departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable for all departments.
  2. Expense Management: Assist in monitoring and managing expenses, including tracking receipts, coding expenses to the appropriate accounts, and preparing expense reports.
  3. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements, analyze financial data, and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  4. Vendor Management: Maintain vendor files, communicate with vendors regarding payments, lien waivers, and invoices, and reconcile vendor statements.
  5. Assistance in Audits: Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support as required.
  6. General Accounting Support: Provide general support to the Controller and accounting team, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks as needed.
Requirements:

Education/Knowledge:

  • Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint and other office software.

Experience/Skills:

  • Previous experience in accounting or finance roles is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-departmental environment.

Availability

  • 40 hour per week, OT possible as needed on an occasional basis

  • Office setting and vendor/supplier visits or other company offsite meetings as needed



Compensation details: 22-24 Hourly Wage
