Shift Overview:
Shift times and overtime hours vary dependent on position, department, and location
1st shift: Monday - Thursday, four 10 hour days, overtime worked at the end of shift and on Fridays and occasional Saturdays
Summary of Job Description
The positions within Graphics I are responsible for applying graphic applications to the trucks to include, but not limited to stripping, lettering, emblems and customer requested graphics. The employee must be able to read and understand prints and collect the proper materials needed to start the application process. The employees use measurement and leveling tools. They must maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Functions
Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks
Cuts out, outlines and prepares materials, graphics or pieces for application.
Sets up, operates, and maintains various forms of graphics equipment and tools, such as printing and measurement.
Measure and tape up truck for applications
Apply measurement for proper alignment and attachment graphic applications.
Read and interpret blue prints
Check and review check lists, work orders, and schedules
Monitors the inventory of equipment, parts, materials, and related items and notifies appropriate personnel of completes paperwork as required
Sweep and clean shop area
Work required hours and have an excellent attendance record
Work overtime as needed
Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent education
Previous experience with application of graphics
Preferred Qualifications to complete Essential Functions
Graphics or artistic training is preferred
Previous experience as a Pierce team member or contractor
Key Abilities Needed to Complete Essential Functions

Perform all assigned tasks
Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication skills
Recognize and react to abnormal operating conditions
Use and wear personal protective equipment as indicated by the task or environment
Hear safety alarms and other co-workers
Understand graphics principles and practices
Understand sealing and related painting principles and practices
Preparing materials, graphics and pieces for application
Read tape measure, safety manuals, work orders, and blue prints effectively
Follow instructions from supervisors and other co-workers
Understand and identify safety issues
Maintain balance when walking and standing on potential slippery work floor
Maintain balance when climbing on a portable step, ladders, and trucks
Tolerate constant standing while performing tasks along with occasional awkward positions to complete the tasks
Have good hand eye coordination
Use both hands for tool operation and application of graphics
