The Head of US Government Affairs at Deutsche Bank is a senior role within the global Government & Public Affairs (G&PA) team, reporting to the Head G&PA Americas.

What You'll Do
- Acting as an organizational strategist, providing input on critical decisions, and developing strategies that align with Deutsche Bank's goals
- Creating a long-term, commercially oriented government affairs strategy that supports business objectives
- Translating public policy developments for the Business and ensuring strategic execution
- Operate as a senior expert with US governmental entities
- Foster relationships between Deutsche Bank senior management and elected officials
- Manage relationships with key trade associations, public policy groups, and other stakeholders
How You'll Lead
- This leader must understand the value of integrated government affairs, reputation, and engagement efforts, with a proven track record in these areas
- The successful candidate will have deep networks and relationships, and experience representing organizational interests before legislative and executive branches on various public policy matters
- They should be an accomplished relationship builder with trusted connections on both sides of the aisle, skilled at leveraging involvement in coalitions and trade associations
Skills You'll Need
- US Government affairs experience; Demonstrate significant intellect, strategic capability, strong business acumen, and excellent relationship and influencing skills
- The role requires a self-starter with a thoughtful, calm, and action-oriented approach, and a deep understanding of the financial services sector and its policy and political landscape
- Must be entrepreneurial, resourceful, and a self-starter, while also being team-oriented and collaborative
- This person should be tactful, patient, and aware of timing within a complex organization, capable of managing multiple stakeholders, and possess strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in presenting to groups, setting strategy, and executing for results is crucial

Expectations
It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position in Washington DC is $170,000 to $280,500. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of remuneration.
