Maintenance Technician

Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Maintenance Technician.

Shift: (M-F) 6am-4:30pm

Pay: $25 - $28/hr.

Location: Vienna, OH

Primary Duties:

The following duties are not all inclusive but describe the main duties for the JH:

• Assumes assigned daily tasks to the maintenance department
• Regular repair and preventive maintenance of all SMI equipment including:
  • Fans, cooling, heating and ventilation systems
  • Exterior of all buildings and foundations
  • Maintaining facility walls/doors/overhead doors
  • Rebuild of pump equipment for painting.
  • Maintain all internal issues with welding machines.
  • Preventive and repair maintenance of all tow motors, trucks and cranes.
  • Preventive and repair maintenance of all air system compressors.
  • Preventive maintenance plans for equipment and machines. This includes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly plans.
  • Repair of machine break-downs and daily unplanned maintenance required.
• Planned and unplanned equipment maintenance upkeep and repair.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues related to bearings, gearing, combustion engines, braking systems, hoists and pulley systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues related to single and 3 phase power, electric motors, electric brakes, 115v electrical circuits.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems related to valving, regulators, cylinders, and plumbing systems.
• Organize, request and control SMI supplied maintenance tools and work areas
• Ensure area is cleaned up after maintenance work has been completed
• Ensure all repaired equipment is documented and promptly returned to respective area
• Assist in the upkeep, planning and scheduling of all preventive maintenance activities
• Assure all major equipment maintenance documents are created, maintained and available

ISO/Quality:

• Adhere to procedures as defined by the SMI Quality System
• Adhere to all maintenance department required QMPs, WIs and forms
• Maintain documents accordingly to QMPs

Required knowledge, education & skills:

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred

• Knowledge/experience of the principles and techniques in maintenance repair
• Knowledge/experience of operating principles and techniques of manufacturing processes
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics and parts diagrams.
• Strong understanding and experience of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic theory and repair including relays, contacts, VFD;s, wiring and soldering.
• Knowledge/experience with LOTO procedures required
• Skill in both verbal and written communication
• Skill in basic computer programs (i.e. excel, word, outlook)
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents
• Outstanding analytical ability in troubleshooting mechanical/electrical issues
• Competent to operate cranes and other mobile equipment
• CNC repair experience a plus
