Founded in 1987 and located in San Francisco’s Presidio, the Biodiversity Funders Group (BFG) is a professional association of grantmakers with a shared vision for a sustainable, just and healthy future for all life on Earth, advanced by a vibrant and effective philanthropic sector.

BFG supports member-driven programs and special initiatives that focus on climate and energy, marine ecosystems, land and freshwater conservation, Mexico, Chile, the Andean-Amazon Basin, and global conservation. With an annual budget of $1.8M and a staff of eight, BFG hosts convenings, briefings, webinars, and other activities throughout the year. ABOUT THE POSITION

The Program Director manages two of the organization’s oldest and most popular core programs and supports other educational and engagement opportunities for members. The Program Director coordinates multiday meetings, webinars, and other events with and for our members, and on occasion spearheads assessments, reports, and other resources. This position reports to the Executive Director and is supported as necessary by other program and administrative staff. The previous director held variations of this role, with increasing levels of authority, for more than two decades.

COMPENSATION

This is a full-time position. BFG offers an excellent benefits package. Starting annual salary is $80,000.
