Yoh has an exciting, full-time opportunity for a Survey Crew Chief to oversee survey operations for our Civil Engineering client. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of overall surveying experience, prior experience as a Crew Chief, and live within a commutable distance to the office in Rochester, NY for an onsite environment.

Pay Rate:$30- $34 per hour
Responsibilities:
• Lead field operations using advanced equipment such as Trimble, Leica, and Spectre robotic total stations, GPS RTK Units, and 3D Laser Scanners.
• Manage data collection efficiently, ensuring seamless transfer and collaboration with office staff.
• Maintain accurate documentation and organization of project files upon completion.
• Utilize map interpretation skills to navigate projects effectively, including scaling drawings and deciphering symbols.
• Guide the team with your comprehensive knowledge of survey types and their purposes.
• Foster open communication with the Assistant/Project Manager and team members to address project needs promptly.
• Take responsibility for equipment maintenance, ensuring optimal performance for each project.
• Demonstrate initiative in optimizing task execution to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Utilize general computer applications proficiently to streamline surveying processes.
• Embrace opportunities for growth and development through training and educational initiatives.
• Be flexible to work overtime and travel with overnight stays as required by project demands.

Qualifications:
• 5+ years of surveying experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, with demonstrated proficiency in producing clean and accurate plan presentations.
• Strong math skills to ensure precise measurement and calculation in surveying tasks.
• Proven record of producing clean and accurate plan presentations, showcasing attention to detail and quality.
• Knowledge of field survey operations, as well as the engineering and construction industry, to effectively coordinate survey activities with project requirements.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, facilitating effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies in a timely manner, adapting to evolving industry tools and methodologies.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel, enabling efficient documentation and data management processes.
