Job Description: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Location: St. Mary Parish School Board, Centerville, Louisiana Closing Date: January 17, 2025, at 4:00 PM Salary: 1.60 Index based on the 2425 St. Mary Parish School Board Teacher Salary Schedule Position Overview: The St. Mary Parish School Board is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and manage the financial operations of the district. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting or finance, with leadership experience in the educational sector. The CFO will ensure financial stability and transparency, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and provide strategic financial leadership to support the school district’s long-term goals. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred. Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified School Business Official (CSBO) preferred. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of senior financial leadership experience, with preference given to those with experience in an educational setting. Salary: Shown Starting Salary is based on a minimum of 5 years of experience Bachelor’s Degree: $79,300 Master’s Degree: $81,700 Note: Final salary will be determined based on verified years of relevant experience as per the district's step pay schedule.
